Gunmen Attack Train In Egypt
Assailants opened fire on a passenger train for the second time in two days, and a statement issued in the name of Islamic militants Thursday warned tourists to leave Egypt immediately.
An Egyptian shot in the attack Wednesday night was hospitalized, police said. A French woman and a Dutch man were cut slightly by broken glass and continued their journey, police said.
The train, bound from Aswan to Cairo, was raked by gunfire near the village of Farshout in Qena Province, 280 miles south of Cairo.
A passenger train from Luxor was hit in the same area the night before. Ten Egyptians were wounded in that attack, including a 10-year-old boy.
