New Faces:

Zak Designs Inc. has added the following people to its staff:

Jerome Voigt joined the company as human resource manager. He will be responsible for the implementation of company policies regarding employment procedures, compensation, recruitment and benefits. Voigt, who received a master’s degree from Gonzaga University, served 22 years in the Air Force.

Robert “Van” Van Keuren was hired as material control manager. Van Keuren, a graduate of Southern Illinois University, will manage product inventory in response to production, consumer and shopping demands. He is a 28-year veteran of the Air Force.

Tom Pauley joins Zak Designs as quality control manager. Pauley, who graduated from Eastern Washington University, will be responsible for ensuring all products meet company standards, negotiating freight tariffs, and managing pallet build-up and returns sections. He is a 27-year veteran of the Air Force and the Marine Corps.

Rick Fischer has been hired as the production manager. Fischer, who recently ended a 26-year career in the Air Force, will oversee the custom packaging of product for both national and international customers.

Michelle Schini has been hired as a senior accountant at Magnuson, McHugh and Co. P.A. Schini received her accounting degree from the University of Arizona in 1990, and her CPA certificate in 1992. She previously operated her own accounting firm in Hayden Lake.

Mitch Driller joins the Couer d’Alene office of D.A. Davidson and Co. as an investment executive. Driller, who has worked in real estate finance for banks and mortgage companies and as a product service manager for a national retailer, most recently was president and owner of a local mortgage company.

Steve and Dee Smith have joined the real estate firm of John Beutler and Associates. Steve Smith has been involved in real estate development and construction for 16 years as a licensed building contractor and engineer. Dee Smith, a graduate of Kinman Business University, is a licensed real estate agent and a flight attendant for United Airlines.

North Idaho Realty has hired Gerry Ridley. A retired airline captain with American Airlines and a University of Nebraska graduate, Ridley has real estate experience with Coldwell Banker and Schneidmiller Realty.

Pine Crest Hospital and Counseling Centers has added two people to its management team:

Brad Gerrard joins Pine Crest as its director of business development. Gerrard, who most recently worked for Charter Behavioral Healthcare systems of Kaysville, Utah, has nearly 10 years of experience in research, advertising, sales training, community wellness development and communications management.

David Quinn was named Pine Crest’s administrator. Quinn previously worked with Rivendell of Montana, a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital and treatment center.

Sherrell Martin, an independent fashion coordinator and new team leader with Weekender’s Clothing, has relocated to Spokane. Martin was a consultant in the Moscow/Pullman area since 1991.

Moving up:

George Gee Pontiac has promoted two sales consultants to floor managers:

Bill Gillingham, a graduate of Washington State University, was chosen as Salesperson of the Month and is a Pontiac master sales member.

Jerry Fennen, a seven-year veteran of automotive sales, is a Pontiac master sales guild member and a former Salesperson of the Month.

Tom Trulock, former human resource manager, has been promoted to mountain manager of Schweitzer Mountain Resort. He will oversee mountain operations, including security, grooming, lift operations, lift maintenance, ski patrol, parking and vehicle maintenance. Trulock, who worked for Snowbird for 19 years, joined Schweitzer in 1993.

Starting up:

Cornerstone Children’s Center has opened at 4417 W. Wellesley. The center, owned by Pam and Barry Catherine, features a library, computers fenced playground and an indoor gym.

Joboei Hair Salon opened at 9321 N. Government Way, Suite 3. The owners are Jeff Graves, Bob McMamnamy, and Eileen Weaver.

Jaazz Salon and Day Spa, formerly of Cheney, has opened at 126 N. Washington. Jaazz is owned by Mark and Sonna Brado.

Godfather’s Pizza will open a new restaurant at 1605 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls. Grand opening is planned for January 1996.

Moving:

American Life and Health Insurance Agency, owned by Dan Hill, is moving to N. 2510 Pines Road, Suite 207. The agency has specialized in long-term health care for more than 10 years.
