Devils 4, Flyers 2 East Rutherford

Bobby Holik apparently means a great deal more to the Devils than most people realize. The robust center returned from an injury that had sidelined him since the season opened and sparked New Jersey to a victory over Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon by scoring the game’s first goal at Byrne Meadowlands Arena.

Neal Broten, Steve Thomas, and Bill Guerin had the other goals for the struggling Devils, who played with some real intensity and desire for the first time in quite a while.
