Rosemary Worth Hayden Lake, Idaho
Graveside service for Rosemary E. Worth, 67, will be today at 2 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Worth, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Thursday.
She was raised in Potlatch, Idaho, graduating as the valedictorian from Potlatch High School. She went on to attend University of Idaho and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
She worked in Moscow, Idaho, at a medical clinic before moving to Lewiston in 1964. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Lewiston in 1974.
She married Kyle Worth and they have lived in Hayden Lake for the past 17 years.
Mrs. Worth loved being a hostess and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, at home; one son, Scott Cameron of Spokane; two sisters, Cleora Lowther of Billings, Mont., and Georgia Hosko of Pasco; two brothers, Frank Andres of Caldwell, Idaho, and Charles Andre of Pasco; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Spainhower of Spokane; two grandchildren, one aunt, and several nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren.

Lester Raymond ‘Tim’ Brown Post Falls
Graveside service for Lester Raymond “Tim” Brown, 57, will be today at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel of Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown, who was born in Kalispell, Mont., died Friday.
He came to the area in 1972 from Hamilton, Mont. He married Anna Birnel in the early 1970s.
Mr. Brown served in the military as a Navy Seabee.
He worked as a warehouse foreman for Pacific Hide and Fur in Spokane. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Post Falls Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, of Minnesota; one son, Raymond Brown of Post Falls; four daughters, Cari Bedwell of Medical Lake, Nancy Liem of Indonesia, Tina Brown-Santa Cruz of Kennewick and Sue Brown-Magnus of Coeur d’Alene; his mother, Lorraine Croskrey of Kalispell; two brothers, David of California and Ross of New Orleans; three sisters, Loretta Brown of Libby, Mont., and Leilia Brown and Donna Kidwell, both of Kalispell; one stepsister, Lucille Parpart of Post Falls; one stepbrother, Carry Croskrey of Columbia Falls, Mont.; and 11 grandchildren.
Helen Poffenroth Endicott, Wash.
Graveside service for Helen Louise Poffenroth, 80, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Endicott Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Poffenroth died Saturday.
Born in Endicott, she graduated from Kinman Business College and worked for St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital and Pacific Northwest Bell, both in Spokane before transferring to Pacific Northwest Bell in Colfax.
She married Ben Poffenroth in 1943. He died in 1961.
She was an organist for German services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott for many years and was a member of the church.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Holmes of Pullman; and one brother, Philip Smick of Endicott.

Denise Chapman Spokane
Visitation for Denise Bentley Chapman, 30, is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery Chapel in Trentwood. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapman was shot and killed Thursday.
She was born in Sacramento, Calif., and was a homemaker.
She is survived by three children, Jonathon, Brandi and Samantha Chapman, all at home; her parents, Donald and Dorothy Bentley of Spokane; three sisters, Tammy Jernigan of Concord, Calif., Debbie Fenton of Wenatchee and Sharon Bentley of Spokane; and her grandmother, Vera Price of Spokane.
Verlo ‘Bud’ Trott Spokane
Memorial service for Verlo A. “Bud” Trott, 57, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at the Hope (Idaho) Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Trott, who died Saturday, was born in Milton, Ore.
He graduated from high school in Clark Fork, Idaho, and married Cora Belle Macumber in 1956 in Clark Fork.
He worked on the dam in Noxon, Mont., and on many roads and bridges in Washington and Idaho. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union local in Spokane.
In 1971 he joined Teamsters Union Local 690 in Spokane and worked for Baker Truck Lines of Lewiston. He went to work for Garrett Freightlines in 1975 as a line driver and worked there for 11 years.
His last four years of employment were with E-Z Loader Boat Trailers as a long-haul driver. He retired in 1991 when he became ill with lung cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Belle Trott; one son, Bruce Trott of Spokane; four daughters, Rosemary Trott, Kathi Northington and Susan Sprecher, all of Spokane, and Valeria Collins of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; two sisters, Evonne Boller of Fernwood, Idaho, and Carol Espirito of Homer, Alaska; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
LoRetta Hosea Issaquah, Wash.
Graveside service for LoRetta Hosea, 85, was Monday at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hosea, who was born in Washington, died Thursday.
She grew up in Sandpoint and married Clarence Vohs in 1931. He died in 1936.
She moved to Spokane later that year and attended Kinman Business College. She married Willard Hosea in 1946 and was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Spokane.
She moved to Issaquah in 1986 and was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her second husband.
Survivors include a son, Paul Hosea of Seattle; two daughters, Marcine Vohs of Issaquah and Carole Vohs of Valley, Wash; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bessie ‘Edyth’ Zigler Newport, Wash.
Service for Bessie “Edyth” Zigler, 91, is set for 11 a.m. today at ShermanKnapp Funeral Home in Newport. Burial will be at the Newport Cemetery.
Mrs. Zigler died Wednesday.
She was born in Farber, Mo., and had lived in the Newport area 77 years.
She had worked as a waitress in Newport at Ma Gross Cafe, Commercial Hotel and the Martin Hotel.
In 1921 she was dating George Zigler. He sent his brother, Joseph Zigler, to pick her up for a date, and she and Joseph began dating and were married in 1922 in Sandpoint.
They bought a 160-acre homestead in 1928 and cleared the land with a team of horses. They raised dairy and beef cattle until 1967, when they retired, bought six acres and continued to raise a few cattle.
Mrs. Zigler was a member of the Royal Neighbors, the Calispell Grange and the Pend Oreille County Historical Society, and was a volunteer at the Newport Museum for many years.
Her husband, Joseph, died in 1992.
She is survived by one sister, Roberta LaMarch of Beaverton, Ore.; one granddaughter and one stepgrandson.
George Rindfleisch Spokane
Visitation for George A. Rindfleisch, 84, is set for noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Pines Cemetery.
Born in Cleveland, Mr. Rindfleisch died Friday.
He had lived in Spokane for 46 years and worked as a plasterer.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Juanita; one daughter, Cleona Clift of Spokane; one brother, Edwin Rindfleisch of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Arlie Von Tersch Spokane
Burial Mass for Arlie H. Von Tersch, 75, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Mr. Von Tersch died Friday.
Born in Cottonwood, Idaho, he entered the Army Air Corps in July 1942 and was a gunner on a B-24 in the 448th Bomb Group, 715th Squadron, 8th Air Force.
He was captured by the Germans in August 1944 and was held as a prisoner of war until May 1945.
He received the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters and three battle stars, a POW medal and the American Theater Service Medal.
Following the war he returned to Cottonwood and worked at various jobs.
He married Ramona Nuxoll in 1951. They moved to Spokane in 1955 and Mr. Von Tersch worked for Great Northern Railway and Burlington Northern Railroad until he retired in 1982.
Mr. Von Tersch entered his quilts in competitions and one received a first place in a Grange contest and was entered in state competition.
He was a member of the Caterpillar Club (made up of people who save their lives by parachuting out of an airplane), American Ex-Prisoners of War, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1474, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; and two daughters, Sharon and Karen, both of Spokane.

Yoshie Yamamoto Spokane
Memorial service for Yoshie Yamamoto, 72, will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.
Miss Yamamoto, who died Wednesday, was born in Spokane.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and worked in the dry cleaning industry for Beacon Cleaners and South Country Cleaners.
Miss Yamamoto was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and the Japanese-American Citizens League.
She is survived by four nieces, Joanne Ferris and Jayni Omoto Martin, both of Spokane, Karen Omoto Toreson of Mukilteo, Wash., and Margene Omoto of Seattle; one nephew, Richard Omoto of Spokane; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Charles O’Leary Loon Lake, Wash.
Service for Charles Edward O’Leary, 69, was Monday at Church in the Wildwoods in Deer Park. Burial was at the Loon Lake Community Cemetery.
Mr. O’Leary died Friday.
He was born in Rochelle, Ill.
He served in the Navy during World War II and had worked as a plasterer.
Mr. O’Leary moved to Loon Lake in the early 1980s from Los Angeles.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia O’Leary; two sons, Dennis O’Leary of Camp Verde, Ariz., and Stephen O’Leary of Denver; one sister, Barbara Smith of Bethel Park, Pa.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mildred Rice Spokane
Service for Mildred I. Rice, 69, will be at 11 a.m. today at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ellensburg.

Born in Ryder, N.D., Mrs. Rice died Wednesday.
She had lived in Spokane for 20 years and was a member of Rigeview Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Walter Rice, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel Rice of Lewistown, Mont., and Philip Rice of Spokane; eight daughters, Nancy Perkins of West Palm Beach, Fla., Janice Chapman of Roseland, N.J., Rachel Billings of Marina, Calif., Judith Kilgore of Marysville, Wash., Susan Rice of Ipswich, Mass., Sheryl and Debra Rice, both of Spokane, and Rebecca Lyon of Lind, Wash.; two brothers, Leonard Guttormson of Des Lacs, N.D., and Oscar Guttormson of Berthold, N.D.; five sisters, Evelyn Neshem of Westhope, N.D., Ella Leifson of Escondido, Calif., Regina Hansen and Georgia Bonderanko, both of Minot, N.D., and Pearl Karna of Malsoti, N.D.; and 13 grandchildren.
Bernice Anderson Spokane
Service for Bernice B. Anderson, 76, is set for 9 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Anderson died Saturday.
Born in Greensburg, Kan., Mrs. Anderson was a 44-year Spokane resident.
She was a member of Beacon Chapel and worked as a nurse’s aide in a private nursing home.
Her first husband, Samuel Fields, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Richard Fields of Spokane; one daughter, Janet Byzewski of Springfield, Va.; two sisters, Betty Monahan and Iola Dicicco, both of Spokane; two brothers, Marvin Rogers of Wichita, Kan., and Alfred Rogers of Gilroy, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.

Frederick Pruitt Spokane
Memorial service for Frederick M. Pruitt, 78, will be at a later date. Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, Calif. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Kellogg, Mr. Pruitt died Friday.
He had lived in Spokane for 12 years and previously had worked in maintenance for the University of California.
His wife, Dorothy, died earlier.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Price of Spokane and Richelle Melton of California; one sister, Marvel Bailey of Spokane; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
