Disney Attacked For Gay Insurance Plan

Compiled From Wire Services

In a resolution expected to be passed today, Florida’s one million Baptists are threatening to punish Walt Disney Co. at the cash register for extending health insurance to partners of homosexual employees and for disregarding “traditional family values.”

The resolution, to be voted on at the annual Florida State Baptist Convention, claims that “Disney’s corporate integrity and moral leadership have been eroded.”

The resolution stops short of calling for a boycott of the theme parks but asks the state’s third-largest religious denomination to “reconsider their continued purchase and support of Disney products.”
