Compiled From Wire Services

A woman and two children were injured Friday afternoon in a two-car collision at Francis and A Street, police said.

Connie G. Grytdal, 41, of 6706 N. Post, was reported in critical condition late Friday at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She underwent surgery for multiple injuries.

Kristin Arnold, 4, a passenger in Grytdal’s car, was in stable condition at Deaconess Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.

Erica Moller, 14, also a passenger in Grytdal’s car, was treated at Deaconess and released.

Grytdal was headed north on A Street at 4:20 p.m. when she attempted to pull across Francis after stopping. She was nearly struck by one vehicle, and then was hit on the driver’s side by a second vehicle driven by Taresa L. Honskell, 45, 5929 N. Havana. Honskell suffered minor injuries, police said.
