Flyers Work Well In Overtime

Associated Press

NHL

Chris Therien’s first goal of the season 32 seconds into overtime lifted the Philadelphia Flyers over the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 Sunday at Philadelphia.

Anatoli Semenov squirted a pass from behind the net to the left point to Therien, whose wrist shot just snuck inside the left post and past goaltender Kirk McLean to extend the Flyers’ unbeaten streak to four (3-0-1). The defenseman’s last goal came April 2 against the New York Rangers.
