Airport Passenger Growth Continues
More than 250,000 people got on or off planes at Spokane International Airport in October, marking a 9.7 percent increase over passenger traffic during October, 1994.
During the first 10 months of the year, the airport handled 2.46 million passengers, an 11.27 percent increase over the same month last year.
The month’s activity is a continuation of the rapid growth in passenger traffic that the airport has seen for more than two years.
Cargo activity for the year to date is up 9 percent over the same period a year ago. For October, it was up 6.7 percent.
Freight traffic at Felts Field was down 31 percent for the month compared with October, 1995, but freight activity is up 7.2 percent for the first 10 months of the year.
