Silver Honorees Named

Joe Theisman and Marty Liquori were among six athletes named to receive Silver Anniversary Awards by the NCAA.

The award honors athletes who completed their collegiate careers 25 years ago. Awards will be presented during the NCAA convention in Dallas Jan. 7.

Also named were Thomas Lewis Lyons, University of Georgia; Cliff B. Meely, University of Colorado; Kurt L. Schmoke, Yale University; and Herbert “Jack” Youngblood, University of Florida.
