Keyshawn Johnson had 13 catches for 171 yards Saturday as fifth-ranked Southern California, rocked by the suspension of three starters two days earlier because of possible NCAA violations, churned out a 31-0 victory over Arizona State in Los Angeles.

Brad Otton threw for two touchdowns in the third quarter as USC (2-0, 4-0) pulled away.

Arizona State (1-2, 2-3) was completely bottled up by the Trojans, the nation’s leader in scoring defense.

Johnson set an NCAA record by becoming the first player with 100 or more yards in receptions in 12 consecutive games.

Sophomore Delon Washington gained 118 yards on 25 carries, becoming the first USC runner this year to top 100 yards.
