Charles ‘Bunny’ Mohr Spokane

Memorial service for Charles B. “Bunny” Mohr, 74, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Mohr, who died Saturday, was born in Grand Forks, N.D., and had lived in Spokane for 51 years.

He was a partner in Black’s Industrial and retired in 1984.

He was a member of Sunrise East Lions Club and served in many capacities on the local, district and international levels, including as governor for District E. He received the Lions International President’s Award for outstanding service to the organization.

Mr. Mohr had served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and flew with the Flying Tigers in China.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Mohr of Spokane; two daughters, Carol Batt of Fairfield, Conn., and Patty Sanford of Irvine, Calif.; one son, Charles Mohr of Spokane; one brother, William Mohr, and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Donna Northcott, all of Spokane; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Leo Horning Osburn, Idaho

Service for Leo Fred Horning, 65, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church of Osburn. Burial will follow at Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst, Idaho. Shoshone Funeral Service of Wallace is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Horning, who was born in Stanton, N.D., died Monday at Deaconess Medical Center of Spokane.

He married Regina Fix and moved to the area in 1954 from North Dakota. He was a miner and supervisor for the Hecla Mining Co. before retiring due to health problems.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to play cards. He also enjoyed his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, at home; five sons, Dean of Texas, Clyde of Spokane, Jerome of Lewiston, Duane of Emmett, Idaho, and Scott of Clarkston, Wash.; two daughters, Bonnie Meland of Spokane and Joanne Williams of Silverton, Idaho; three brothers, Edwin of Detroit, Bernhart of Washington and Harold of Osburn; four sisters, Olga Pender of Minnesota, Pauline Pfenning of Osburn, Doris Fetter of Post Falls and Arline Bauer of Washington; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frieda Wilson Spokane

Memorial service for Frieda V. Wilson, 98, is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Almond, Wis., Mrs. Wilson died Saturday.

She had been a maid at The Davenport Hotel for more than 20 years and had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years. She was a member of Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union Local No. 400.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by one son, James Denegree of Fairbanks, Alaska; and one sister, Dorothy Haney of Tucson, Ariz.

Theodore McCoury Spokane

Service for Theodore McCoury, 83, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. McCoury, who died Sunday, was born in Bend, Texas, and moved to Spokane when he was 10.

He was a field representative for Darigold and retired in 1974.

He had lived in Spokane for 73 years and was a member of Linwood Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He was also a member of Masonic Lodge No. 134, the National Grange, the Washington State Grange, the Pomona Grange, the Half-Moon Grange, the Inland Empire Dairy Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3067 in Deer Park.

He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

His wife, Gladys, died in 1979.

He is survived by two daughters, Marita Norton of Simi Valley, Calif., and Anita Croskrey of Wilsonville, Ore.; one son, Steve McCoury of Deer Park; one sister, Ruth Yaeger and one brother, Gerald McCoury, both of Spokane; and one granddaughter.

Jeneve Collins Kellogg

Service for Jeneve A. “Jenny” Collins, 87, will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in Pinehurst, Idaho. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service of Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Collins, who was born in Valley City, N.D., died Monday at the Mountain Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center of Kellogg.

She moved to the area from Montana in 1948 and was a homemaker. Her first husband died in 1928.

She married Harry Collins in 1930, and he died in 1981.

Survivors include four sons, Fred of Electric City, Wash., Keith of Kellogg, Michael of Smelterville, Idaho, and John of Laurel, Mont.; eight daughters, Bernadine Lovell of St. Ignatius, Mont., LaVonne Williams of Pasco, Marion Collier of Melstone, Mont., Barbara Trotter of Post Falls, Alice Wynne of Temple City, Calif., Cherie Pierce of Smelterville, Maxine Sebastian of San Diego and Rebecca Collins of Sauk Centre, Minn.; 46 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cleo Rickens Spokane

Graveside service for Cleo Marshall Rickens, 85, is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rickens, who died Sunday, was born in Upton, Mo.

She had lived in Spokane for 55 years and had been a cook for a utilities company.

She is survived by two daughters, Della Trudeau of Spokane and Bonnie Hoffman of Redmond, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Elma Martin Spokane

Graveside service for Elma L. Martin, 78, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin, who died Monday, was born in Grays River, Wash.

She had lived in Spokane since 1954 and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Martin, and one son, Bryce Martin, both of Spokane; three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Billie King Worley, Idaho

Service for Billie Rose King, 69, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Yates-Hodge Funeral Home of St. Maries. YatesHodge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. King, who was born in Idaho, died Monday at home.

She grew up in Riggins, Idaho, graduating from high school there. She married Adolph King in 1953 in Lewiston.

She worked as a housekeeper and lived most of her life in Potlatch, Idaho. She lived briefly in Post Falls before moving to Worley.

Mrs. King enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and cookie jars.

Survivors include her husband at home; one son, Walter King of Worley; five daughters, Lucille Tyson of Colorado, Rose Alley of Oregon, Mary King of Coeur d’Alene, and Donna Babb and Barbara Hill, both of Worley; three brothers, Jack Thomas of Coeur d’Alene, Pete Thomas of Lewiston and Bud Thomas of Tonasket, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lucille Merritt Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Lucille C. Merritt, 72, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel of Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Merritt, who was born in Wisconsin, died Monday in Coeur d’Alene.

She moved to the area in 1943 and married John Merritt. She spent most of her life working with her husband in the retail gas industry.

She loved to knit and enjoyed traveling with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Mullen of Coeur d’Alene and Linda Dresser of Boise; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Timko of Texas; one sister, Edna Bien of Superior, Wis.; and three grandchildren.

Dale Stack Spokane

Private family service for Dale V. Stack, 68, will be held at a later date. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stack, who was born in Nebraska, died Sunday.

He had lived in Spokane for 24 years.

He served in the Army during the Korean and the Vietnam wars, and retired in 1971 as a chief warrant officer after 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Waltraut “Trudy” Stack of Spokane; and one brother, Darrell Stack of Nebraska.

Simon Reinbold Davenport, Wash.

Service for Simon M. Reinbold, 96, was held Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport.

Mr. Reinbold, who died Sept. 27, was born in Egypt, Wash.

He served in the Army during World War I and following the war he returned to the Davenport area and farmed on his family’s farms.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Community Grange.

He was also a member of the state and national Granges. He served 35 years as rural fire commissioner and was a member of the American Legion.

His wife, Marvel Reinbold died in 1994. His first wife, Agnes, died in 1940.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Batch of Davenport; one son, Robert Hyssop of Seattle; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
