Cult Kingpin Arrested In Japan

Compiled From Wire Services

The acting leader of the cult charged with releasing nerve gas on the Tokyo subway was arrested early today, dealing a serious blow to the group as it fights government attempts to shut it down.

Dozens of police and hordes of reporters and spectators gathered outside the building awaiting the arrest of Fumihiro Joyu, the last senior cult leader taken into custody.

Joyu was reportedly arrested on charges involving perjury in a court case about a cult land deal.
