A Seattle school crossing guard has been charged with having sex with a 15-year-old developmentally disabled student. A school-bus driver was earlier chargd with having sex with the same girl.
The guard, Louis David Maddox, 64, was charged Friday in King County Superior Court with two counts of first-degree rape of a child. Bail was set at $50,000.
As a part-time employee of the Seattle Police Department, Maddox worked as a crossing guard at Foxhill Elementary School near his home in West Seattle. Maddox was questioned by police and school officials earlier this year about his relationship with the girl, but denied having sex with her, prosecutors said.
The investigation was reopened after the arrest of bus driver Gregg B. Smith, 58, who later was charged with having sex with the girl.

Smith then told investigators the girl admitted having sex with Maddox twice last spring.
