Power Council’s Director Quits
Ed Sheets, the executive director of the Northwest Power Planning Council, will resign effective Dec. 1.
The council’s director of public affairs, Steve Crow, will replace him, officials said on Friday.
Sheets, who has worked in power planning for more than 15 years, did not say where he will work next. He did, however, say he would like to become involved in the implementation of some of the plans he helped orchestrate.
Sheets worked on the Northwest Power Act of 1980 as an aide to former Sen. Warren G. Magnuson, D-Wash. He then served as the director of the Washington State Energy Office.
