Boeing Retirees Weigh Lawsuit, Back Striking Workers
Boeing Co. retirees who took early buyouts met Wednesday to consider a lawsuit over proposed changes in health benefits and to organize support for striking workers.
For those who accepted Boeing’s first-ever early retirement program, accounting for the bulk of 12,000 job reductions this year, it would be “the golden handshake that turned out to be the golden shaft,” said Bob Kemmer, a striking assembly installer from Renton.
