Air Pollution Reports

A total of 16 air quality complaints were reported to the Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority between October 16 and October 20.

The most common complaint, open fire, was reported seven times.

Oct. 16

Odor of compost was reported at Colbert Compost Facility at 4:43 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device, such as a wood stove or fireplace was reported at 1120 E. 38th Ave. at 9:48 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 4920 W. Staley Road at 10:00 a.m.

Oct. 18

Open fire was reported at 24th and DishmanMica Road at 2:43 p.m.

Open fire was reported at 34519 N. ElkChattaroy Road at 9:07 a.m.

Smoke & odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 12420 E. Mansfield #60 at 10:20 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 4920 W. Staley Road at 12:15 p.m.

Oct. 19

Open fire was reported at 14000 block of North Mitchum Ct. at 10:55 a.m.

Smoke & odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 810 E. Baldwin Ave. at 11:35 a.m.

Oct. 20

Open fire was reported at Bowman off Day Mount Spokane Road at 1:00 p.m.

Odor of roaster was reported at Four Seasons 222 N. Howard at 9:50 a.m.

Smoke in the air was reported at Yale Road S. of Day Mount Spokane Road at 11:10 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 900 N. Margaret Deer Park at 11:33 a.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 12326 E. Valleyway Ave. at 12:35 p.m.

Odor of asphalt was reported at 8100 block of North Starr Road at 12:45 p.m.
