Mr. And Mrs. Burkwist Sandpoint

Eugene “Burk” and Jo Anne Burkwist celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Elks Lodge in Sandpoint.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: Barbara Pyle, Wenatchee; Steve Burkwist and Phil Burkwist, both of Spokane; Tom Burkwist, Eagle River, Alaska; Bev Burkwist, Renton, Wash.; and Terri Hanenburg, Bayview, Idaho.

Married May 8, 1945, in Omaha, Neb., the Burkwists have four grandchildren.<
