Blood Beats Boise

Darin Blood didn’t give up a hit for 5-2/3 innings and finished with a three-hitter in the Bellingham Giants’ 2-0 win over Boise Hawks in the opener of a best-of-3 playoff for the Northwest League championship Tuesday.

Blood (7-3), a third-round draft pick from Gonzaga, struck out seven and walked one.
