Not Average Sunscreen

Michael Hodgson Special To Outdoors

Product: Aloe Up Pro Sport Sunscreen

Description: SPF 30 sun protection sunscreen containing aloe vera gel.

Pro: The “dry” lotion aspect of this sunscreen is great as it disappears quickly into the skin leaving no greasy or oil residue to collect dust, grit or grime - also good if you have to handle a paddle or hiking staff immediately after application. Contains aloe vera gel which serves to soothe the skin and keep it moisturized. Waterproof and sweat proof formula. Protects from UVA and UVB rays.

Con: The tubes! Either our team got a bad batch or there is a real problem, but of the 40 tubes of sunscreen we packed and used, 11 had product delivery problems (the hole in the nozzle was clogged or too small) or the tube blew out completely where it was crimped for sealing.

Comments: OK … I’m sold. I used to think that a sunscreen was a sunscreen was a sunscreen. Aloe Up turned my head since it is the only sunscreen that I have used, and I have used a lot of brands, that applied smoothly, without a greasy feeling and never clogged my pores - leaving my skin feeling soft.

Suggested Retail: $4.80 for 1 ounce tube; $10 for 4-ouncer.
