Shark Attacks, Kills Scuba Diver

Rescuers searched waters off southwest Australia on Tuesday for the remains of a scuba diver killed by a shark.

The victim, a 29-year-old professional diver, was attacked Monday while gathering abalone on the sea floor, police said. He was not identified.

A friend witnessed the attack and raised the alarm at nearby Hopetoun, 310 miles southeast of Perth.
