Get A Hunch, Bet A Bunch

The season’s first nice twin trifecta pot is on the table to mark the beginning of the new meet’s second week. There is $24,617 waiting, along with the second half of the daily pool, for the fans or fans who can pick the first three horses in both the seventh and eighth races.

Gummit’s Beyer ratings make him the one to beat in the paceless seventh race, but his form is inconsistent. Cherryhill Slew looks solid in the eighth.

It looks safe to take the short prices on Frosty Boy in the third and Calico Fillies in the fourth.

Here are tonight’s selections:

:THIRD: $20 to win on FROSTY BOY. Divide any winnings to win on CALICO FRILLIES in the fourth and CHERRYHILL SLEW in the eighth.

FOURTH: $20 to win on CALICO FRILLIES.

SIXTH: $10 to win on OUGHT TO BURN.

SEVENTH: $2 twin trifectas pairing GUMMIT with every combination of MR CLINTON, J P RUHL and MESSENGERS MARK ($12). Exchange to CHERRYHILL SLEW, I’LLGETUINTHEALLY and HIGHLY FIT in the eighth.

TENTH:$1 trifectas wheeling GEE OH DEE to every combination of REGAL’S PRECIOUS, LIKEABLE SPY and RUNNING EVENT ($6).

Original bankroll: $2,000.

Saturday’s results: Won $25.

Sunday’s results: Lost $62.

Present bankroll: $1,924.
