Kingbowl Now ‘Gridiron Classic’
The state football championships have a new name to go with their new site.
The former Kingbowl has been dubbed the Gridiron Classic. The title games are moving from the Kingdome to the Tacoma Dome after 18 years in Seattle.
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association selected the new name from an assortment of more than 100 submitted entries. “Gridiron Classic” was suggested by Walla Walla’s Nathan White, who won two sweatshirts with the new logo and two tickets to the Dec. 2 event.
