The Slice The Wolf Whistle Is A Dead Giveaway Guys

Just about every time we walk down Riverside or Sprague on a nice day, we are reminded.

A lot of guys who probably think their women-watching style is subtle and undetectable are mistaken.

We, of course, behave in a manner beyond reproach at all times.

Peak experiences: After we asked in what states readers had stood atop the highest elevation, we heard from Steve Sather. He’s bagged 33 “high points.” His climbing partner, Mike Schnell, has 30 to his credit.

Here are Steve’s states: Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota and Mississippi. Next up: Arizona.

Just wondering (after reading about Americans’ video renting habits): If TV resembled real life, which it seldom does - thank heavens, wouldn’t a lot of sitcom characters spend a great deal of time watching X-rated tapes?

What do you say we retire this phrase: “Lovely wife.”

OK, while we’re at it, what expression would you personally like stricken from the language? How do feel about “Spokanite”?

It’s just a theory: But we’re convinced that the louder the football fan, the greater the certainty he’s never been hit hard in his life.

From a Playfair publicity sheet (this refers to a jockey): “…along with Marty Wentz, who launched a dazzling comeback last summer before succumbing to his longtime problem with excess weight.”

That was all we needed to read. Wentz was our man. We bet $2 on a horse he was riding and won.

Today’s Slice question: What’s the nicest compliment a person can give a newcomer to this area?
