Flora Culnane Spokane

Vigil service for Flora C. Culnane, 80, is set for 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mrs. Culnane, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday.

Mrs. Culnane was a lifetime resident of Spokane.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Moose Merrymakers, Disabled American Veteran Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was an associate member of the Sons of Norway.

Mrs. Culnane is survived by seven sons, Harry Culnane of Espanola, Wash., Richard, Stephen, Dennis, Robert and Scottie Culnane, all of Spokane, and Michael Culnane of Stevensville, Mont.; six daughters, Lois DeBoise and Lorraine Perry, both of Spokane, Delores Turnbull of Denver, Mary Jane Rice of Stevensville, Deborah Newcomb of Harrington, Wash.; one brother, Ray Faraca of Spokane; one sister, Vicki Glass of Houston; 38 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.

Warren Harding Chewelah, Wash.

Service for Warren H. Harding, 62, is set for 11 a.m. today at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah. Burial will follow at Valley (Wash.) Cemetery.

Mr. Harding, who died Wednesday, was born in Bassett, Neb.

He moved to Washington state with his family in 1940 and served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a longtime Chewelah resident and had worked for Nanoe Aggregates for 40 years.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 54.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Harding; one son, Gary Harding of Chewelah; two daughters, Kelly Stahl of Bothell, Wash., and Julie McPhee of Auburn, Wash.; his mother, Mary Harding of Spokane; five brothers, Jim and Tyke Harding, both of Republic, Wash., Larry Harding of Kennewick, Skip Harding of Spokane, and Dan Harding of Chewelah; five sisters, Alberta Crowell of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Shirley Cook of Richland, Jean Douglass of Carson City, Nev., Sharon Phillips of Spokane, and Jodee Webster of Renton; seven grandsons and two step-grandchildren.

Floy Walker Spokane

Graveside service for Floy G. Walker, 71, will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mrs. Walker, who died Thursday, was born in Florida.

She was a 44-year Spokane resident and was a home health aide. She worked with the Adult Literacy Program of Spokane County and was a member of the World Wide Church of God.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Coombs of Marysville, Wash., Marian Conner of Lincoln, Neb., and Patricia Leach of San Diego; one son, Michael Walker of Newport, Wash; two sisters, Erma Smith of Ladylake, Fla., and Phyllis Slaughter of Orange City, Fla.; three brothers, Lloyd Gano of Orlando, Fla., Herb “Dub” Gano of Alabama, and Kenneth Gano of Longwood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Allena Cox Spokane

Private services for Allena Caswell Cox, 88, will be today. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cox, who died Thursday, was born in Wickes, Ark. She was a 45-year Spokane resident and had worked as a cook at Elizabeth Boarding House For Girls in Spokane. She was also a waitress at Nita’s Restaurant and the Greyhound Bus Depot.

She is survived by one daughter, Hope Bina of Spokane; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.

Bernice Lundberg Spokane

Service for Bernice I. Lundberg, 75, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Lundberg died Thursday.

She was born in Hersey, Wis.

She had lived in Spokane for 50 years and had worked as a cosmetologist. She was also a homemaker.

She and her husband had owned an automated car wash in Spokane called Minit Man Car Wash.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Axel; four sons, Boyd, Kim, Charles and Gary Lundberg, all of Spokane; one brother, Harold Goble of Bozeman, Mont., one sister, Ruth Radsek of Dakota, Minn., and nine grandchildren.

Pauline Leisle Ritzville

Service for Pauline Rosine (Winter) Leisle, 74, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville. Vault burial will follow at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Leisle died Friday at home.

She was born in Irby, Wash.

She had worked as a housekeeper in Wenatchee and Hartline, Wash.

She and her husband settled in Ritzville and she ran a day care in her home from 1976 until 1984.

She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville and had served on the Parish Education Committee, and served as chairman of the Evangelism Committee, and was active in the Women’s Circle.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Arthur Leisle; three sons, Alton Leisle of Davenport, Wash., Dwight Leisle of Manchester, Wash., and Duane Leisle of Bull Head City, Ariz.; two daughters, Linda Borders of Post Falls, and Sandy Heimbigner of Mohler, Wash.; three sisters, Esther Greenwalt of Ritzville, Viola Fode of Lind, Wash., and Dorothy Schafer of Spokane; three brothers, Albert, Walter, and Arthur Winter all of Odessa, Wash., and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Walter Henderson Spokane

Private service for Walter E. Henderson, 80, will be held. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henderson, who died Wednesday, was born in Atlantic City, N.J.

He had lived in Spokane for 30 years and was manager of G.A.F. Photo Service for 13 years. He retired in 1976.

He was a member of York Masonic Lodge No. 234, Scottish Rite Bodies, El Katif Shrine, and the Lilac City Caravanners.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Louise; two daughters, Karen Semerad of Veradale, and Gail Howell of N.J.; two sons, Paul Henderson of Richland, and James Grefe of Calif., and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
