Raid Yields 200 Marijuana Plants

Two men were arrested Wednesday after Bonner County authorities raided their homes and confiscated about 200 marijuana plants and another two pounds of the dried drug.

Shane Muggins, 25, and Ken Williams, 59, are being held in the Bonner County Jail. They were charged with manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance.

Drug Task Force agents raided the homes, on Elmira Road and U.S. Highway 95, just north of Colburn-Culver Road, Wednesday afternoon.

One of the homes, on Elmira Road, had a grow room with 6-foot tall marijuana plants inside. More plants were found in the basement, a section of the house that could only be accessed through a hidden trap door, authorities said.

Agents also confiscated a stolen shotgun, a sawed-off shotgun and five other rifles from the two homes.
