Ex-Girlfriend Of Jimi Hendrix Found Dead
A former girlfriend of Jimi Hendrix - in whose apartment he took his fatal drug overdose - was found dead in a car Friday, two days after losing a court battle with another of the rock star’s lovers.
Police said they found the body of Monika Danneman, 50, in a fume-filled car near her home in Seaford, 50 miles southeast of London. They said the death appeared to be a suicide.
Hendrix died in London on Sept. 18, 1970.
On Wednesday, Danneman was found in contempt of court for breaking an agreement not to describe Kathy Etchingham as a liar. Etchingham, 49, had a 30-month relationship with Hendrix in the 1960s.
