Eighteen Washington communities, including Spokane and Republic, will participate in the National Parks and Conservation Assosciation’s seventh annual March for Parks, set for April 19-22.

The event will include more than 1,200 hikes in the United States, with additional walks in other nations. Proceeds from the marches are earmarked for local park projects.
