UI Engineering Students Pass Recent Training Exam
Local University of Idaho students who recently passed the engineering-in-training exam are as follows:

Hanna and Associates, recently took top honors at two national advertising competitions.
The Coeur d’Alene advertising firm won “Best of Print” for a consumer booklet at the Bank Marketing Association competition, and received two awards for “Best Television Over $10,000 Production Cost” featuring Tidyman’s meat departments and Best Use of a Grocery Bag in promoting a public service message at the National Grocers Association contest.
Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts based on the originality of the creative concept, execution of production and its fulfillment of stated objectives.
Kirk Leichner, Hayden Lake, has received a Silver Congressional Award in recognition of his initiative, achievement and service.
Leichner, a senior at Coeur d’Alene High School, worked as a Drug Free Youth volunteer, received a varsity letter in swimming, submitted a western novel for publication, achieved lifesaving and CPR certification and accomplished a hiking expedition to earn the Silver honor.
Recipients must attain selfselected goals in the areas of physical fitness, expedition/ exploration, personal development and voluntary public service.
