Elsewhere, Colin Turnbull and Paul Johnson worked together to set up two quick goals with the aid of the wind at their backs, and visiting North Central (7-4, 3-2) held off Ferris 4-2.
The Saxons (3-5, 1-3) used the wind in the second half to notch two quick goals, Nathan Hainesworth scoring the first and setting up the second.
At Central Valley, Ryan Massey scored a breakaway from 18 yards out just before halftime and University (5-3, 3-1) went on to edge the Bears 2-0.
Nick Earling added an insurance goal for the Titans at 54 minutes, punching in a loose ball. CV is 3-8, 1-4.
The match with league-leading Mead (8-2, 3-1) at Rogers (0-11, 0-5) was not reported.
Lewis and Clark (4-5, 3-1), tied for second place with U-Hi, was idle.
