Rallying To Help Kick Off Earth Week

Citizens concerned about the environment are rallying in Coeur d’Alene City Park this morning and will distribute door hangers throughout town the rest of the day.

It’s part of a nationwide kickoff of Earth Week, aimed at putting the postcard door hangers in the hands of 2 million Americans, said John Rosapepe of the Idaho Conservation League.

The postcards are designed to be sent to President Clinton and other officials, Rosapepe said.

The rally begins at 9 a.m. in the Coeur d’Alene City Park Bandshell. Attorney Scott Reed is the featured speaker. , DataTimes
