Man, Children Die In Tennessee House Fire
A man and five children under the age of 10 were killed early Saturday by a fire that destroyed a house where three families were spending the night, fire officials said.
Two people escaped unharmed, but the children were trapped by intense heat and smoke, said Tommy Smith, fire chief in the small town on the western Tennessee-Kentucky state line.
The children’s ages ranged from 3 to 9, Smith said.
The cause of the fire had not been determined.
