Lumberjacks Take Two

Lane Watkins got a base hit to drive in D.J. Eberlin in the top of the fourth inning Wednesday and Saint Maries held on to defeat host Bonners Ferry 1-0 in the first game of a Intermountain League baseball doubleheader that was swept by the Lumberjacks.

In game two, St. Maries jumped on BF early and went on to a 10-1 win.

In the first game, Lumberjack pitchers John Dawson and J.D. Ragan combined to scatter three hits while striking out 10.

St. Maries used a seven-run first inning to put the nightcap away. Ragan immediately led off the game with a hit and later scored when Eberlin drove him in.
