Cda High Student’s Design Wins Arbor Day Contest
Brooks Jenkins, a Coeur d’Alene High School student artist, recently had his design selected at the 1996 Arbor Day Button Art Contest sponsored by the Arbor Day Committee.
Jenkins’ design will be featured on the limited-edition 1996 Arbor Day button.
The following local high school juniors were honored for their academics by receiving the University of Idaho Silver and Gold/Top Scholar awards:

The awards were sponsored by the Kootenai County Chapter of the University of Idaho Alumni Association.
Judy Drake, received the UI Silver and Gold award recognizing alumni who have a distinguished record of achievement or service in their specialized field during their career.
Drake has worked for the Coeur d’Alene School District for over 20 years as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and director of secondary education.
