Poll Favors Clinton

Associated Press

A poll released Saturday said more Americans think President Clinton would do better handling the economy than Bob Dole.

The U.S. News & World Report survey found that overall Clinton leads Dole 49 percent to 36 percent with 15 percent undecided.

The poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted by Celinda Lake of Lake Research and Ed Goeas of the Tarrance Group on July 21-23.
