Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I have many shirts that do not have elastic on the ends of the sleeves.

When it gets warm, I usually want to push my sleeves up, but they never stay. I found that if I put a rubber band over the ends of the sleeves and roll a cuff, to hide the rubber band, I can push your sleeves up and they will stay all day long! - Jennifer, Dallas

A good fashion hint; however, be careful that the rubber band isn’t so tight that it cuts off your circulation. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: Don’t throw away your old garden hose. Cut a slit down the middle and wrap it around the rusty chains on the swing set.

When your children go to swing, it’s much easier on their hands. - Jill Corbett, Paulina, La.

Lots of parents will love your idea. So glad you wrote! - Heloise
