Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: I saved from your column a wonderful solution regarding the easy placement and removal of a solar cover for an in-ground pool. I seem to have misplaced this tip. Could you please help me obtain a copy of this hint? - Shelley Schick, Kinnelon, N.J.
With pool time here, this tip is worth repeating. All you need is a piece of 2-1/2-inch-round PVC pipe, the length of which will vary depending on the size and shape of your pool. Set the pipe on top of the cover at one end, pull the cover up over the pipe and begin to roll the cover onto it. When it’s all rolled up and off the pool, just move it out to the side. To make rolling the pipe a little easier, add an old wagon or lawn mower wheel to each end. - Heloise
