Four Suspects Held In Counterfeiting

From Staff And Wire Reports

Pasco police on Friday wrapped up a weeklong counterfeiting investigation, ending with the arrests of four men.

The suspects, all of Pasco, are accused of spending fake $20 bills.

The first bogus bills showed up at a convenience store last weekend. On Wednesday, police issued a warning to merchants.

Detectives worked with store owners to identify the alleged counterfeiters. Police are still searching for more suspects.

More bills may be circulating, police believe. The bills are typically made to appear old by rubbing, wrinkling or folding, according to detectives.

Emiliano Villanueva, 21; Salvador Villanueva, 20; Joel Nunez, 18; and Anthony Lopez, 28, are being held in the Franklin County Jail. , DataTimes
