Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: Do you have a hint for reusing or recycling brown plastic medicine bottles? - Helen Chapman, Louisville, Ky.

After checking several pharmacies, only one major chain pharmacy said they would do this, upon request only. So be sure and call around before taking your prescription bottles to the pharmacy. - Heloise
Dear Heloise: Decorative ceramic flowerpots make excellent holders for pens, pencils, scissors, etc. They are attractive containers for desktops and are easily accessible by the telephone or typewriter when needed. - Dorothy L. Knorr, Queensbury, N.Y.
Dear Heloise: Boy, how times have changed! My nephew recently asked me if I had any pierced earrings he could have. After searching through my jewelry box, I found a cute pair to give him.
There’s no generation gap here! - Aunt Pinkie, San Antonio

When she buckles her seatbelt, no one can grab the purse. - V. Jean Bott, Macon, Ga.
