Baseball Talks To Resume

After a week of intense telephone conversations among owners, negotiators for baseball’s club owners and players appear to be ready to resume their efforts to complete a new collective bargaining agreement.

Randy Levine, the owners’ chief labor executive, and Donald Fehr, the players’ chief, met briefly in advance of the talks, which may resume today.
