Schools Register New Students

Early registration for new students is under way in all area school districts. All require birth certificates for kindergarteners.

Many also are requiring immunization records for most students. Nine Mile Falls schools won’t accept new sixth grade students without proof of measles, mumps and rubella vaccinations.

In Spokane School District 81, elementary school registration is open 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. High school registration begins August 26.

School starts Sept. 3.

In Mead, Riverside, Nine Mile Falls and Deer Park, enrollment is open. The school districts ask that new families register promptly.
