Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Here is my recycling tip of the day.

My husband is constantly leaving those empty little sugar packets on the kitchen counter every morning after using them in his coffee. Those pesky little empty packets drive me crazy and have darn near resulted in divorce court.

I use them as bookmarks in my favorite books or magazines. This sure is better than bending pages, and the supply of these little packets is endless. They are the perfect size, too. - M. Gilliard, Houston

Dear Heloise: If while brushing teeth or dentures the toothpaste falls from the brush, rub it onto the chrome faucet. Leave it for a few minutes and rinse.

It comes out sparkling and the toothpaste isn’t wasted. - Emma Soupart, Smithmill, Pa.
