Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: As the toothpaste manufacturer recommends, I squeeze from the bottom and flatten it as I go up, for best results. Unfortunately, the toothpaste tube rarely remains folded up! I constantly must repeat the procedure until the toothpaste is gone.

Now, I prevent the tube from unraveling by securing the folded (used portion) with a small rubber band.

When it’s time to fold up more of the tube, I remove the rubber band and start with an already-shortened tube! - Don Danielson, Anchorage, Alaska

Dear Heloise: Use a paper punch to create new perfect holes for your shower curtain when the original holes are torn. - Miss Carol Wolosen, Newark, N.J.
