Seaton ‘Rocky’ Daly, Jr. Spokane
Funeral Mass For Seaton M. “Rocky” Daly, Jr., 51, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Private burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Daly, a former assistant United States attorney and longtime Spokane resident, died Friday.
He was born in Spokane and graduated from Gonzaga Prep, the University of Santa Clara and Gonzaga University School of Law.
After finishing school he worked as a King County deputy prosecuting attorney and was appointed as an assistant U.S. attorney in 1975.
He resigned in 1978, and he and George Nethercutt Jr., joined his father, Seaton M. Daly, in a private law practice.
He was selected to serve on the Spokane Civil Service Commission in 1979.
His memberships include the Spokane County and Washington State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association and St. Augustine Catholic Parish.
He is survived by a son, Seaton Daly III of Eugene, Ore.; three daughters, Shara Daly of Spokane, Kimber Daly of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Molly Daly of San Jose, Calif.; his parents, Seaton and Dorothy Daly Sr., of Spokane; a brother, Timothy Daly of Columbia, Md.; a sister, Susan Daly of Spokane, and a granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gonzaga Preparatory School, the Poor Clare Nuns or the Morning Star Boys Ranch.
