Dear Heloise: In order to keep track of my bill-paying throughout the month, I arrange the bills according to due date and check the stack each day.

Dear Heloise: I always keep an umbrella in the back of my car so as never to be surprised by a rain shower.

I’ve now found a dual purpose for that everloving umbrella when I park in a sun-drenched parking space. I open my umbrella (inside of the car; it’s easier) and place it over the steering wheel and as much of the driver’s seat that it will cover. This shields the sun so that the wheel doesn’t get too hot to handle and I can sit in the seat. - Pina Moore, Newark, N.J.
