Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: Recently, after using the superstrength, fast-drying glue I keep in my desk drawer, my boss complained that he had gotten a small amount on one of his fingers and there was nothing in the office with which to remove it. I handed him an emery board and suggested that he simply file off the offending residue.
Much to his surprise and my relief, with only a few strokes of the board, the glue was gone and my boss was happy! I’ve found an emory board’s light abrasive surface makes short work of removing glue, paint or other dried-on “immovables,” while not damaging the underlying skin. - Pat Downs, Violet, La.
I do the same. Usually all it takes is a few light strokes to remove dried nail polish, etc. This was a hint my mother taught me! - Heloise xxxx
