Sweden’s Pernilla Wiberg braved a difficult course and moved into second place in the overall World Cup standings by winning the women’s Super-G race at Lake Louise, Alberta.

Tom Stiansen of Norway earned his first career World Cup victory in five seasons on the circuit, edging Thomas Sykora of Austria by .16 seconds in a men’s slalom at Breckenridge, Colo.
