Red-Hot Reardan Defeats Lakeside

Boys basketball

Travis Titchenal made 6 of 8 3-pointers Tuesday and visiting Reardan shot 68 percent from the field to beat Lakeside 72-64 in a non-league, season-opening game at Nine Mile.

Titchenal scored 28 on 10-of-12 shooting. Nate Graham added 7 of 8 from the floor for the Indians, who finished 27 of 40.

Mike Dasenbrock scored 23, and George Petticrew had eight steals and six assists for the Eagles, who finished third at the State A tournament last year.

Jeremy Fox made 11 of 14 free throws, including two with 15 seconds remaining in overtime, to guide the visiting Vikings over the Loggers.

Fox’s winning points came after Brad Nicholson drew his fifth foul. Nicholson scored 18. Potlatch called timeout with 9 seconds left, but couldn’t get off a shot because Gar-Pal had a foul to give.
