Note to Princess Diana: Prepare yourself for an unhappy ending. That, at least, is the feeling expressed by several romance writers during a publicity event for the new cable network, Romance Classics, which is set to debut Jan. 1.

Novelist Jackie Collins suggested that Di adopt a bi-sexual lifestyle. “She’s had very bad luck with men,” Collins said. “That would really be revenge because the queen will be very distraught.”

But Olivia Golding, author of “The First Wives Club,” said the princess won’t easily attract a man who’s both rich and handsome because such an animal is extremely rare.

“You can’t get money and pretty in the same package,” Goldsmith said. “This woman has a real problem.”

He wants to perform marriages. “I want to use my name in a positive way to help other people,” Bobbitt told The Associated Press. “I grew up as a Christian. I just want to do what is right, to stay away from things my mom and dad frown on.”

More on the game of celebrity musical chairs: George Hamilton’s son, Ashley Hamilton, is the ex-husband of Shannen Doherty. As of Sunday, however, he is the new husband of model Angie Everhart, who once was engaged to Sylvester Stallone.

Speaking of Shannen Doherty (see above), the former “Beverly Hills 90210” star/party girl debuts her singing talents in the forthcoming NBC movie “Friends Til the End.” The surprising result, music supervisor John Houlihan told Entertainment Weekly, was “exceptional music for a movie-of-the-week.”

Danny Pintauro once played Judith Light’s son in “Who’s the Boss?” At age 20, he’s now working as a salesman at The Gap in a Beverly Hills mall. That’s where the tabloid Globe caught him on camera.
