Obituaries

John Cannon Spokane

Rosary service for John B. Cannon, 91, will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Cannon, who was born in Moody, Texas, died Thursday.

He worked for the Sherwin-Williams Co. in Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio, Texas, for 10 years. He also worked for at Grand Coulee Dam for two years and for numerous welding shops in Spokane. He later established Bud Cannon’s Welding in 1946 and worked until retirement in 1964.

He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local No. 44 and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, in 1995.

He is survived by a son, Brother Tony Cannon of Spokane; two daughters, Dolores Cannon of Lakeland Village and Bonnie Sullivan of Spokane; and a grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or the House of Charity.
