Tamecka Dixon and Suzie Raymant each scored 19 points as No. 18 Kansas beat Washington 76-61 Sunday for the championship at the Dial Soap Classic in Lawrence, Kan.
The Jayhawks (5-1) led by as many as 12 points early in the game before Washington (1-4) used a 19-2 run to take a 32-25 halftime lead.
Dixon scored the first seven points in a 10-2 run that put Kansas ahead for good in the second half.
Jamie Redd led Washington with 32 points.
Dixon was named the tournament’s most valuable player although illness kept her out of Saturday’s 62-45 victory over Northeastern Illinois.
(5) Georgia 94, (4) Tennessee 93
At Knoxville, Tenn., Kedra Holland-Corn scored 30 points, including a critical 3-pointer with 12 seconds left, leading Georgia to a overtime victory over Tennessee in a rematch of last spring’s NCAA championship game.
Georgia (3-1, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) also got 20 points from La’Keshia Frett to hand Tennessee (7-2, 0-1) its sixth loss ever in Thompson-Boling Arena where the Lady Vols are 131-6.
The Lady Bulldogs withstood a heroic effort by Tennessee’s Chamique Holdsclaw, who scored 20 of her 34 points in the last 2 minutes of regulation and the 5-minute OT.

At Richmond, Va., Nyree Roberts scored 20 points, and Clarisse Machanguana added 19 as Old Dominion beat Vanderbilt in the championship of the Central Fidelity Invitational.
It was the second ranked team the Lady Monarchs (6-1) have beaten in as many days. They downed No. 15 Duke 89-77 in the opening round.
